How Do Evaporative Cooling Systems Work ?
The heart of an evaporative cooling system is the pad from where the water gets evaporated.
This pad is made of fluted cellulose sheets which are glued together. This material is chemically impregnated with special compounds to prevent rot and ensure durability. A special water distribution system spreads the water over the surface of the pad, ensuring an uniform supply of water to keep the entire air contact surface completely wetted. Fan on opposite wall of the building creates a negative pressure inside the building, causing the air to be drowned through the pads. Evaporation takes place due to contact between air and water. A control system operates the water pump and switches the fan(s) off and on.
